Notification position on Android break navigation

The notification of someone posting on some server scroll right over the 4 line navigation menu. Frequently this pops up at the moment I am reaching for this menu. The results being that my display jumps to an entirely different server. 99% of the time I am not interested in the notification and have no desire to jump to that server. That 'feature' should be completely removed. If not remove it should be repositioned away from the navigation menu
