Nitro gift not showing up

My friend Gifted me Nitro and I claimed it as soon as I opened the message. I checked my account to see if I had the Badge and I did not. My friend assumed that the nitro in pinning and i should wait a day. I waited and checked if I had the Nitro and I do not.
