Please do something regarding the Nitro hacks

Hi.

I’m sure by now a lot of you have seen hacked accounts post “free nitro” links with the intent to hack others and spread it like wildfire, and the main problem about this is that Discord, natively, hasn’t done anything to prevent this from happening. While 2FA and the privacy settings are in place, it still sometimes isn’t enough and has resulted in the unfortunate theft of genuine accounts.

It’s gotten so bad now that I’m actually fearing having my account hacked or having my close friends’ accounts hacked despite us all having common sense not to click links/have 2FA and security settings on. All it takes is for someone to somehow make a nitro hack which hacks people who even receive the message for it to all be over.

As a result, while I myself don’t know exactly what can be done to circumvent these issues, I hope that Discord as a company is looking into this and finding ways to stop the hacking spree from happening. It’s honestly bad when Skype of all places has less malicious links/activity than discord atm.

Please honestly do something if you can, anything to help out even the people whose accounts have been stolen. Thank you.
