I cant set my phone number

I can't set my phone number in my account because it says there is another account using this number i tried resetting my password with this number but no code message was sent chief!
Pls help me!

    Having a really similar issue , says The phone number on the account is already being used when I’m the one using it. I deleted the app and re installed and I think I gave me a generic phone number when I did that so my old account thinks it’s being used even though when I signed back it I used all the same credentials user name and password to sign back in and now it won’t send me the verification code because it says someone is already using my number

    I’ve tried multiple times to remedy with discord and no help what so ever , super frustrating
