Streamer Mode not automatically staying on

For my whole life on Discord, I've always used streamer mode to not hear any random sounds for certain actions in a server. Enabling it was all I need to do years ago, but now, every time i sign back in, it's no longer enabled. Does anybody know why this is?

I've already uninstalled and installed - made sure it's the most up to date version. I'm lost..
