Discord Cities!

Hello everyone! 

The idea I wanted to present to the community is called Discord Cities! The concept is basically a more visual way of representing our text channels/voice channels.

 

Imagine you open up one of your Discord servers and instead of seeing the usual text channel, you see your avatar enter on a boat in a map with little buildings (appearances based on use or owner-preference) and a town hall (the most-used public channel) in the center. The little buildings are labeled with the name of the voice channels or the text chats and when you click on them it'll take your avatar into the channel.

Optionally, houses can be made for specific members so that their avatars spawn in the houses.

This map has a default theme (made by Discord) but it could be open to personalization and customization.

Another idea would be to have small windows in the buildings which avatars could poke their heads out so people would know who is in which channel.

 

This is a feature and very much optional so not all servers need to have it, but it would be really cool if it were implemented (possibly a nitro feature to earn more revenue).

 

*Avatars can start out as logos as to not impede on the main idea.

    This would take a lot of time to implement properly and, in my opinion, is not needed for a chat platform and would only get in the way of many users.
