Adjustable Default Volume for People in Voice Chat (Pre-Personalization)
A setting where you could change the default volume option you experience new speakers at (until you manually adjust their individual sound setting) would be a phenomenal contribution toward not randomly getting your ears blown out.
Right now, new speakers always start at 100% volume on the 0%-200% scale. That sounds fine in theory, but in practice, some of us keep things tuned so that "normal" volume people are around 60% volume, so that we can really crank the volume up on those few friends with the unfortunate mics that are always impossibly quiet. But that means whenever you're in a voice channel, hanging and gaming, and so-and-so's recently added friend jumps into the channel to hang out, you're suddenly tearing your headset off mid-game and frantically alt-tabbing to Discord to adjust sliders, because they said, "Hi," and it made your ears bleed.
If the default volume level for people was something that could be adjusted, even if changing the default caused everyone to reset to that new default volume until their customized personal volume levels were re-applied, it would still be a tremendous quality of life improvement. (in fact, it might be better that changing the default initially reset everyone's volume to that new default, since it could really speed up the process when someone wants to rebalance their voice volumes in Discord)
