Censorship of "misinformation" and "disinformation"
So much information is shared on Discord it would be impossible to fairly enforce this new rule. You will have to pick and choose your battles, choosing selectively which bits of misinformation you want to censor. You will use this to censor speech arbitrarily to advance a political agenda. It is transparent and disgusting. No one but you wants this.
Discord now has so much market share it is effectively a monopoly, so you can afford to stop making the product better / more competitive and can afford to make it worse to subject your captive audience to your political agenda.

It is the ultimate in hubris to declare yourself the ultimate arbiter of truth. Even scientific experts disagree on what is true (about COVID-19 anyway). The fact is that there is no such thing as "scientific consensus", only popular and unpopular positions. Dr. Fauci smeared and cancelled people who disagree with him. That doesn't make him right. To take the position as an organization that you know better and that discussion is verboten is anti-community and serves only to chill speech that you don't agree with. Nice virtue signalling.
