Profile Banners in Nitro Classic (Let us give you our money !)

I feel like the topic has been abandoned, none seems to really talk about it anymore, despite the original posts having hundreds of upvotes.

I've been using Discord for 4-5 years but never paid for nitro (probably 1 or 2 months as there was a 50% discount for Black Friday), as I felt the customization features were very few at the time I started using it. I remember being so hyped when they announced banners I said to myself, alright, this is worth my money now, I'm taking Nitro Classic, as I'm interested in profile customization only, and the $10 nitro price feels very bloated by the 2 server boosts included that I will literally never use, or would never buy separately.

Unfortunately, the banners are the ONLY customisation feature you have to pay $10 a month, it's so inconsistent, this feature is nothing like upgrading your upload limit from 50 to 100mb or streaming in 4k instead of 1080p, features I can understand are worth $10 as they use so much more bandwidth than 2 gifs uploaded to your profile.

$10 is totally understandable if you use server specific profile customization, the improved bandwidth, and servers you want to support and where you want to use 2 included your boosts.

I'd really like to support your app as I feel you added a lot of good features ( like profile bios I was hopping to have since I started using Discord ), I just don't want to feel robbed out of my money and pay the price of a Netflix or a WoW subscription, for features I won't use.

I really think that more people that are interested in profile customization only would pay $5 for it ( also if Nitro Classic wasn't almost hidden like a secret feature at the very bottom of a menu )

    You explained yourself very well and poured out your heart. I agree with you. But I don't know if they care, which looks like they don't...

    Yeah that's very sad, the 1 month of Nitro I paid to not rant without knowing the available features in practical expires today and I won't renew it.

    Too bad they don't care about all their paying users but I guess half a WoW sub isn't enough to ask for a gif in a profile.
