The "I'm new" server badge lasts for way too long
Hello. In a recent update, I've noticed that whenever a member joins a new public server, they are temporarily granted a small badge which says something around the lines of "I'm new here, say hello!". I'm not sure whether it's only on larger servers with boosts or not, but I've definitely had it when I joined places with larger communities.
My main concern with this minor feature is that it lasts for several days. I personally wouldn't mind if it too much if it lasted for a day at the very most, but it staying for about a week-ish makes me slightly uncomfortable and I wish it either went away after a day, or if individual members had an option to toggle it on or off in their account settings. I understand the sentiment of greeting new people, but I feel like a day or two is enough, and after that it just feels rather excessive and it may make some people more anxious due to their name standing out from others.
I'm curious whether other people have the same experience with this feature as me, and I'm interested in a discussion about it, or your suggestions of changing it. Any ideas are appreciated, and thanks in advance.

I remember it starting with that for new accounts, now I noticed they do that for people who join a server. I dont necessarily mind it, the only good part I see in it is to make it easier to watch out for alt's if someones been causing trouble in a server repeatedly, but having it last a whole week I have to agree with, is a little excessive

I have the same problem. I recently rejoined a server that I was in for several years before and I've had that badge attached to me for almost a week now and it is starting to get annoying. I don't know how it could be improved but definitely either reduce the time for the badge to appear or make it so that after X messages sent, that badge doesn't appear anymore. (Also hi Ezel, long time no see lol)
