Make Server Boosts "unlockable" instead of "maintainable"
You read the title. I think Nitro, alone, is a nice subscription offer, but the way Server Boosts actually works only benefit to huge discord community servers where they have enough people willing to give it some boost. Smaller communities don't have this chance and aren't able to reach lvl 2.
As a server owner i'm not satisfied as well. I own a server on which i'm the only user and will always be. But i can't afford to pay for a Nitro sub + 12 Server Boosts, this is just unaffordable.
The problem is :
Only HUGE Discord community servers with thousands of members will eventually be able to get to lvl 2/3.
A possible solution would be for Discord to actually allow Nitro users to "unlock" Server Boosts instead of "maintaining" them, which means after a given period of time the user's Boosts are permanently obtained and renewed for the server until lvl 3 is reached.
Assuming a user used both his boosts for his server and reached lvl 3 :
- If the Nitro sub is cancelled, user lose the Boosts, but can get it back when subscribing again.
- If he move both of his Boosts, user lose the Boosts.
- If he move one of his Boosts, user lose half of the Boosts.
However this "unlock" feature would only benefit to servers that haven't reached lvl 3 yet or can't even reach lvl 2.

YES
because that way you pay once for something that you have forever
BUT
when something is good something has to be bad
so there would be an extra option for it to be forever and it would be much more expensive!

Edit : I must admit i'm not being honest at all. Subscriptions are the same, whether it comes with streaming, gaming, chatting and community stuff...
However, here's a difference :- Playing FFXIV implies to buy the game and pay for a subscription so it sounds more expensive than Nitro. But i know the money is used to make the game bigger and better and if i want to pay for some extra cosmetics i only have to pay once.
- Discord with Nitro, in the other hand, only offers a subscription to enhance our Discord experience which is great. But if i want to get more boosts i need to either have a huge community with people willing to give money for my server (which wouldn't happen even if i wanted) OR i need to pay an additional subscription for each boost needed (12) and even with Nitro 30% reduction you still have a monthly bill of 51,87$ for a total of 622,44$ OR a yearly bill of 518,87$ which, in the end is, is at least 2 times more expensive than buying for a new expansion of FFXIV and paying for twelve months of subscription (instead of 10 like Nitro).
We are all paying for the same thing but we're definitely not all equals because we don't all have so much community powers.
We don't all have someone helping us to pay for our servers, we can't rely on others for this and Discord HAVE to think about a solution for us, solo owners and small communities, who can't afford spending half a thousand dollars for Discord each year...
And I, personnally, am stupidly boosting a server just for me because custom emoji and stickers are only tied to servers and can't be tied to users.0
