Website app does not allow sign in by email address only accepts phone number

Constantly receieve "Email address does not exist" when tyring to log into discord.gg via web browser. Even the password reset does not work for it until I use my account phone number, but then guess what it texts me? The password reset has been sent to my email address... You know, the email address that doesn't exist in your system?

I'm not sure what changed but now all of the sudden it knows my email address again and I can log in using it now, but this has happened before and I am 100% certain I was entering the email in correctly as I triple verified it.

Something is terribly wrong with the login conroller for the website app.
