Blocked individuals erased from existence please.

Can you guys make a block function that actually works? I had a run in with multiple trolls, and peanut galleries that turned me into a lolcow. Despite blocking them there are a lot of stuff i still see through the blocked individuals that make me want to gut them. I see a blocked message pop up which lets me click it and still see the degenerate things they're talking about which antagonizes, and are meant to incite me. Now it may be that I lack self control to click a bubble button that literally says "BLOCKED MESSAGE" But at least put in some effort to make that out of site, or freaking like you don't want to click that bubble button instinctively.  There's a even a youtube video where a kid that sounds like he is 8 years old bypassing this feature. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9nsIGqUufk&ab_channel=nyueki TL:DR update your block button so that there would be more civil conversations.. because it's a breeding ground for more animosity, and hate.

    So, is what you're saying: Provide an option to have blocked messages NOT show up in Notifications? And/or, to hide them completely with no indication that anything was said?

    If so, I agree, those would be quite important options.

    I know readers might be like: Just use self control & don't check the messages, but here's the thing: If there are notifications, it's distracting & calls attention to the fact that someone posted, when you'd rather not know. Every time you see that indicator, even if you don't check it, it can trigger bad feelings to be reminded that that hurtful person is talking.

    & I don't know if it also makes notifications on the phone's status bar or not, but if so, that's extra crappy because then to keep your notifs clear, you'd have to keep swiping those away. That adds stress to your day.

    So yeah, if any of these things do happen, we should be given the option to avoid them.

    After you block someone, their likes and comments will be removed from your photos and videos. Unblocking someone won't restore their previous likes and comments. People that you block can still see your likes and comments on posts that were shared by public accounts or accounts they follow here .Android: "..." in the top, right-hand corner of your screen > Settings > Scroll down to Blocked Profiles > Find the profile you want to unblock and tap unblock. A menu will then appear for you to be able to unblock that profile.
