True, it can indeed be annoying sometimes.

But one problem is that too many options in the dropdown menu = bad cuz it's not UI friendly... Even if it's only one you want to add : the menu is already heavily charged in informations...

So my proposition would be to simply disable the ping it happens when replying to someone, and the user should directly ping the other user in his message, like it has always been before this feature came out.

Or the reply message should keep its "orangish" color, so when looking at a conversation, the replies you've got would still catch your attention, but it would not be considered as a ping anymore.

    What do you think ?

Sorry for my late reply GorNerzh.
I believe it would have made a great suggestion if there weren't additions in the dropdown menu as seen in the screenshot below.

However your idea of simple pinging when replying to someone would make it less annoying. Someone mentioned in a feature request on this platform that one might also add an option inside discord settings to set auto-ping as seen on the right when replying to off as default. Depending on your setting [Default after update should be 'reply ping off']

Therefor you may get a silent reply ping indicated my the red number but you won't get the notification sound itself. It might also make sense to include an option for yourself to disable reply notifications. [Suboption: disabling red number indicator too]

What remains clear though, is that the current reply system needs a little change in order to be less annoying and much customizable.

    Thank you for your contribution.

    Best Regards,
    Jayy
