Make channels filterable

Currently I'm in a server that has about 40 channels. Scrolling through the list finding the channel I want to be in is a hassle. I know the name, but scanning the list is plain annoying to find the correct channel.

Can a small text field be added on top of the channel, that when typed in it, filters out the channels that don't contain the letters typed there.

For example I have the channels:

apples
pears
melons
pumpkins

and I'd type in the filter field

a

The list would shrink to

appels
pears

or if i'd type

pp

Only apples would show.

It would make navigating chat channels so much easier.
