Please fix the Linux client's log spam
I emailed support regarding this issue a while back, and was told that the issue would be escalated, but the ticket was closed shortly thereafter with no further communication.
Basically, it seems like the Discord desktop client on Linux has a verbose debug option turned on somewhere that really ought to be turned off by default. Every three seconds, without fail, the message "(device_info_linux.cc:45): NumberOfDevices" is inserted into the system log (viewable with "journalctl"):
Jul 17 15:47:40 magicant discord.desktop[4520]: [2022-07-17 15:47:40.112] [4654] (device_info_linux.cc:45): NumberOfDevices
Jul 17 15:47:43 magicant discord.desktop[4520]: [2022-07-17 15:47:43.115] [4654] (device_info_linux.cc:45): NumberOfDevices
Jul 17 15:47:46 magicant discord.desktop[4520]: [2022-07-17 15:47:46.118] [4654] (device_info_linux.cc:45): NumberOfDevices
Jul 17 15:47:49 magicant discord.desktop[4520]: [2022-07-17 15:47:49.121] [4654] (device_info_linux.cc:45): NumberOfDevices
Jul 17 15:47:52 magicant discord.desktop[4520]: [2022-07-17 15:47:52.124] [4654] (device_info_linux.cc:45): NumberOfDevices
This occurs regardless of distro. I have tested with both Discord and Discord Canary, on Arch and Fedora, flatpak and non-flatpak. The same issue occurs every time.
The sheer volume of this log spam makes it more difficult to actually use the system log at all at times, simply because it's stuffed full of entirely unnecessary messages from Discord.
