Newest update to iPhone ruined zooming on images

As the title says, the newest update to the iPhone has ruined trying to zoom in on pictures. It's really finicky and delicate now as any small movement will make you go out of the picture. If you want to actually zoom in on a picture to see the details off it, you'll have to be super careful with your movement to not make even the slighest mistake, as it will just throw you out of the picture.
Please just revert it back to how it was before.
