Emoji roles are not screen-reader-friendly.
While using my basic screen reader that came with my andriod phone I realized that if it read an emoji role in someones name, it would read "Emoji role (emoji name)" and then completely skip over the 1st message the user sent. This can make it hard for me and others to effectively communicate on discord, especially if we're in a server full of users that use emoji roles, because we'd have to go through the painstakingly slow task of carefully highlighting each sentence and making sure to not get their emoji role included in our highlighting.
Possible solutions to this would be to change the way emoji roles are read, make it so emoji roles are not read at all, prevent the skipping of messages after reading emoji roles, or to have the screen-reader/tts user have the option to toggle emoji roles on/off.
Does anyone else have this problem? Please let me know in the comments. I'd love to hear your opinion on this.
