The new update completely ruined Discord

Hi. I'll start with one question for the devs: what were you thinking? Looks like Discord got on the "unecessary changes" trend train, and the product is a half unusable app. Now, don't get me wrong, I use a very good mobile phone with above average specifications, so I don't get why the whole app feels so sluggish now. Here are some of the things that made me downgrade to the July version: - The entire image upload window is Messed Up. It freezes often, videos don't have a thumbnail preview anymore (I accidentally sent a very wrong video in the wrong place due to this), it's not smooth at all and I keep pressing where I don't want to press because it takes up a lot more of the screen space - Sending a message isn't "smooth" like it used to be, when someone sends a message it's hard for me to keep reading the old ones - Removed the number of results in the search bar (why?) - New text and avatar sizes are straight up silly Discord, wake up. The app worked fine, nobody complained about it. To me (and most users with a DECENT Android device), the app worked *flawlessly*. The past UI changes were hard to get used to at first, maybe that's why they were hated on release. But they didn't bring bugs and we wuickly got used to them. Well, This update did, and I think I speak for everyone by saying that we don't like it. Who knows, we might get used to it, but this untested and unfinished update was anything but mandatory, so Discord could take their valuable time perfectioning it. But they didn't. We want the old discord back, and this time we mean it

    It would honestly be better for them to just admit that they don't want to code for Android anymore than it is for them to release this.

    I have no idea how that unoptimized React Native garbage made it past quality checks, it's horrible!

    The performance of the app went from good to unusable, it's not acceptable.
    Everything lags to the point that inputs are skipped; this app is now TRASH.

    I used this tutorial on how to revert back to the old native android style app, and I'm sticking to it!
