This new Android Mobile UI is horrible.

I've been using Discord since around 2016. I use it for communication with my friends and family. I use it more than I use my MMS app. This is the first time in all these years that I've been genuinely disappointed, and quite frankly angry with an Update.

 

Here's a list of things that are unnecessary and should be reverted:

 

#1: The popup for message editing is cluttered to all oblivion.

 

Why did you change the reaction menu????

 

#2: The new AMOLED UI is more of an eyesore than Light mode. REVERT IT.

 

#3: I never liked the automatic emoji feature. I prefer being able to choose between using ascii emoticons. Whose idea was it to integrate that into Mobile??

 

#4: The Font change is awful.

 

#5: The little popup that suggests reading channels is in the way, and it's irritating that there isn't an option to remove it. I DON'T CARE WHAT PEOPLE IN #offtopic ARE ON ABOUT!!!

 

#6: Optimization has been utterly ruined.

 

In conclusion, I feel that you guys are successfully ridding yourselves of your most active and engaged userbase. 

 

I hope you're all proud of yourselves...

    They're just cutting corners by implementing the iOS codebase on android, not any upgrades.

    Everyone will be sideloading the old discord apk in no time.

    The issue is with sideloading and not updating is supposedly they will shutter the api or ability for the kotlin version on the 1st?
    I'm sticking to 126.21 till they do or fix the react one to not be bad at at least scaling text. But I think we might be screwed. After seeing this I feel bad for ios users even though it works fast for them as the is ui it self seems to just suck in design compared to kotlin. So many redundant clicks for stuff on react native.

    Same here bro! The React Native update was garbage on my phone.
    I have no idea how that made it past quality checks, it's horrible!

    The performance of the app went from good to worse, it's unacceptable.
    Everything lags to the point that inputs are skipped, this app is now TRASH.

    There's now pages and pages of negative feedback in these forums,
    and they're still set on this crash course? It's unbelievable.
