No phone no verification in servers no alternate verifications

Is there no way to verify you are a person for servers that require you to use phone. So many people don't have the ability to receive texts. I do not get why this is a way to verify that its a person and not a bot. I don't have a cell phone and don't believe getting one helps anything. That and I do not have the money to spend on minutes every month to keep a number. There should be other ways to prove you are not a bot. Captcha is one of the ones I know that works. Even if you have to get a code via email and a Captcha to join those servers that would be better than requiring users to have a cell phone for texts. It is insane that this has been a issue for some for over four years now. For others like myself it has been a recent issue. I can't join servers for games and the like to get friends to play with. I get they don't want to be raided though I get blocked by phone verification cause I do not have it on my account. It would be nice to update that verification process to after a certain point if it is not done it gives an alternative way to verify you are human. I am hoping that I am not coming off as rude. I just want people to understand how this is not the best way to deal with the issue of bots or raiders. Please find an alternate way to verify humanity on discord.
