Stop shoving NITRO in my face

I am getting so livid dealing with Discord.

Look guys, I get it. You got multiple investors that demand growth. You have a marketing team trying to figure out how to raise your Nitro subscription numbers. I get it.

However, every time you advertise Nitro to me again, and every time you change the home (friends) screen to add more flair around the "Nitro" button (which didn't even used to be there), you get that much closer to being WORSE than Slack.

There's a problem that every software company goes through where it creates an incredible user experience, and builds trust with their users, and then abuses that trust to squeeze money from them.

I've already had Nitro before and I will never, ever buy it again considering your disgusting practices around refunds and stealing money from customers.

Every time you advertise it to me again, I want to scream. It makes me hate your product and hate having to use it. I used to rave about how much I loved Discord, now I rave about how much it has turned to garbage.

You are basically opening the market for someone to come along and do to you what you did to Slack. I hope it was worth it.

This! Quit spamming people with your scam ass "nitro" bs, nobody wants it. The day someone else creates a similar product with less shameless self-promotion that nobody asked for and nobody wants will be the day discord instantly becomes vacant, and that day cant come quick enough

Got scammed for 6 months of my Nitro classic cuz I applied a free month of "normal Nitro".

Thought that it would after at least keep my 6 months of classic Nitro and revert to it, nope, just gone, poof.

I was like, well alright, gonna resub, it'll prolly charge me after my 6 months ran out right? Nope. charged me right away again.

Contacted customers support about it. "nothing we can do, unluki, bye"

Like... ngl, but if I PAY for something UPFRONT. Then I want to use the rest of my subscribed year UNTIL IT RUNS OUT what I paid for.

Jesus, this is a disgrace, Discord became big, who cares about their early supporters, amirite?

Letting my Nitro run out, then unsub this shit, never again.
