Why so negative?, people like having the alert. I actually have people willing to leave the chat for other chat apps that already have this basic feature.

It only works for direct messages or tags. We need it available for all messages. I have already spoken to reps of Discord they apologized that the service was not available and asked me to post here.

iOS app icon red dot notification for mobile
We need the option to turn this setting on/off. I have people swiping the notification bar and not returning to check their messages. Some people are just busy people and the reminder helps.
