This. You should be able to set the notifications to only see when you are mentioned or someone PMs you. I don't need a notification for every message in a chat I'm in.

@rue is right!!! The problem is with fullscreen mode and it matters how you close discord. Fix: Click box at top right of the window, adjust window to how you'd like it, Now don't close your wind...
