Glad to see I'm not the only one who made a ticket about this. +1 for this.

Going to add this as well.
For the canary (Alpha version), also make it Material you compatible. Thanks3 -
Themed icons are designed to create a uniform look for home screen icons that match the system theme. Available in Android 12 and above, the feature dynamically themes the icon and it as the wallpaper adjusts the system colors.

Other popular apps have this such as Twitter, Telegram, WhatsApp, Reddit, Spotify. But not Discord..

What is the new feature provided by the Android 13 update, and why does the lack of this feature in the Discord app prevent the user from keeping it on their homescreen?

@karinacooper It lets Android change the colours of the icons on your homescreen to match the tone of the wallpaper dynamically. They call it "Material You". All that's needed to support it is to submit a secondary greyscale version of the icon to the Play Store. The reason we are complaining is that most major apps have added their support, but the Discord app has not, so on the homescreen it sticks out like a sore thumb by reverting to the default icon. People just remove it from the homescreen in response to this and resort to opening up the app drawer to access Discord instead because default icons are only displayed there.

It seems as though Material You support has been added! This discussion can be closed now.
