Android push to talk always hides - its a considerable pain - please allow disable of this.

The push-to-talk button keeps hiding - it hinders smooth communication as it often disappears just as users wish to press it. Also it often doesn't come back up in a timely way when screen is touched leading to people thinking they're being ignored. It's frustrating and it's not an endearing feature to keep needing to press the screen twice (sometimes more) and to keep having to look at the screen to see the buttons visibility state.
I suggest 2 alternatives:
1. Provide the option to turn off the auto-hide of the push-to-talk button.
or
2. Provide the ability to assign a hardware button to push-to-talk.
