Request: In-App MP3 Embed / Playback on Mobile App
Currently, MP3s uploaded as file attachments offer embedded playback on the desktop Discord applications.
On mobile however, they do not.
Even worse, when opened on mobile, they will by default open in the In-App Browser, which offers strange suggestions for apps to open in (I have VLC installed, but for others I have seen this suggest WhatsApp of all things).
If you have links set to open in Safari, or tap the Safari icon to bypass the In-App Browser, you are met with yet another choice:
Finally, after selecting "View", you can play back the file in browser.
In other words, if I want to send an mp3 to someone via Discord, and they are on mobile, by default it can take up to 3 taps (with one tiny unlabeled button and one choice) to play it back.
On desktop, you see a player and just click play.
This seems like an extreme regression in terms of functionality in the mobile application, and low hanging fruit for implementation especially now that the iOS and Android codebases are unified.
