Disrespectfully cropped images, useless new format has no option to cancel

This is the last place I’d expect images to be half-hidden and need to be clicked to see them in totality! We share art and memes here, and until this update we did it well, in comfort that surpassed the absurdities of Twitter and Flickr and every other place that stands in the way of its own functionality. I have no option to turn this ridiculous new feature off and make my images appear as normal. Square images get cropped to widescreen, and multiple images together get turned square? It’s a lose-lose situation! Please roll this back. Extra clicking leads to repetitive strain injury, current developers seem to have forgotten this.

  Art communities are not going to stick around on a Discord if the artworks are cropped to squares.
  
  All this "update" has done is created a awful experience for the user and made a great opportunity for new platforms to emerge.
