Discord Channels & Roles | Onboarding in regards to private categories

Hey, I run a Discord server with +300 people and just set the Onboarding up. I have a few concerns regarding role hierarchy and the visibility of private channels. People in my server can earn higher tiers of roles which enables them able to see new categories, same with my moderator role and moderator category. I had to instruct them to actually go enable the moderator category because it was not visible by default. Is there a way for private channels and categories to automatically be visible to the user by default? 

As I see it, it is easy to turn off stuff you don't want, but it's incredibly difficult to turn on something you don't even know exists before you go under "Browse Channels".
