Improve Server Guide
Server Guide is a fundamentally good idea but as it stands right now I'd rather not have it at all. Some immediate thoughts on improvements:
1. LET ME REMOVE TO DO'S. This is by far the worst part of this, they're terrible and reading the rules is really all I want new joins to be doing. Giving me a homework assignment when I join a new server is a great way to guarantee that I'll leave it.
- At the very least there should be more options than just "look at a channel" and "send a message". Reacting to a message or clicking a link are ones that immediately come to mind, and I'm sure there are other concepts that could work here.
2. Let me keep the Welcome Sign at the top permanently, it's endearing and I really don't know why it would go away instantly. Letting the user immediately see an actual person at the top of the join screen is a great way to make the server more personal, which is why I imagine this feature exists, but wouldn't you always want that to be available?
3. I accidentally found out today that if you disable everything in the Guide, an About tab shows up with the number of online members, as well as the total member count, alongside whether the server is public. Why is this the only way to see this? Let me turn it on alongside other things.
4. Related to point 3, add more stuff like the About tab! Server Guide shouldn't just be a bunch of text that I wrote, that's what a channel is for. The way Steam handles profiles comes to mind, how they let you display workshop items, achievements, etc. You could have panels that can showcase the most used emotes, or proper integration of the Rules that looks like the Screening process, or an integrated Roles list that explains things like staff and VIPs, there's so many things you could have here and I'm honestly confused how they don't exist yet.
You might've picked up on a theme here: more options for owners! Add more things that I'm allowed to use, but don't make me use them. Server owners want the freedom to design their own server, but we'd love more tools to do it.

Another thing for point 4 that I thought of right after I hit submit: images. Literally just let me embed images directly in the Guide. Feels self-explanatory.

I hate that all the latest features have some minimum requirement. Whether its 3 todos or 7 public channels for on-boarding in general. I understand they don't want servers to look completely empty to newcomers when the server owner doesn't know what they're doing, but if they're gonna have an "Advanced Mode" option for things, it should let advanced users to bypass these silly limitations.
It seems like this update also eliminated the Post-Join questions from popping up for newcomers. I don't know why Discord expects people to know where the Channels & Roles option is, but to limit the number of Pre-Join questions and then expecting people to know that there are more roles/channels locked behind Post-Join questions is crazy.
Thus finally regarding the Server Guide itself. If you're going to force having a number of todos, at least make it possible to link the #Customize Community channel in the todo options. Otherwise these 2 features are basically half redundant, but neither does the entire job of introducing new members to all the features (channels/roles) I want them to potentially see.
