Regional prices in Ukraine

Regional prices are a thing, that exists in a lot of countries on Discord. For example, Nitro in Turkey costs less than 2 USD. But in many other countries, where wages are approximately same or even less (including Ukraine) - Nitro costs full 10 bucks, like we're living in US here. And I'm not even saying that country is in the state of the war, but that's a huge argument. Pretty sure this won't be noticed, but I'm still hoping

    Agree, I'd like to use nitro but 10 USD is too much for me and my friends. Maybe allow lower prices only for Ukrainian banks or partner with diia to confirm people are really from Ukraine so no VPN exploiters will be able to use it for lower prices in their country.

    @Danyil, you can't just simply turn on VPN to pay from another country. Discord checks the country where the card was issued, so, no matter of your current location, you'll be charged with the price of the origin of your card's country. So, yeah, the only way to do this is to check the issuer country, but if they managed to do this with a lot other countries, like Turkey, they can do same with Ukraine

    Marco Wilder yes, I'm aware. That's what this post is about. Average wage in Ukraine is not as near as in US, I think that's not a secret and everyone knows it. But the price both in Ukraine and US is the same. I'm not offering Discord the prices for Ukrainian market, but it is obviously too high. And this is the problem with many other countries, not just Ukraine. If you look at the list of regional prices, there will be like 15 countries, among all of the countries in the world
