Request: do not animate "is typing" indicator in Reduced Motion mode.
I have a sensory disorder which makes some of the animations that are part of Discord's interface very distracting and uncomfortable for me. In particular, those three prancing dots next to "So-and-so is typing", and the corresponding ones that appear next to the typing person's username in the userlist.
I use custom CSS code, via the BetterDiscord plug-in, to block animations in Discord and make it usable at all, but after an update last year the dots were apparently no longer done by CSS, so now even that doesn't stop those. Without being able to turn off the dots, holding a conversation in Discord text chat is so stressful for me that I'm not sure it's worth the effort.
Currently, Reduced Motion mode doesn't switch these dots off, which seems a big oversight. It would be much better if in Reduced Motion mode the dots were static (or not there, if that's easier). I'd imagine it would be a small job, and it would improve the service a lot for me and I think a lot of your other customers.
While I'm writing, I would like to tell you that I was delighted when the Reduced Motion feature was introduced! More and more Internet firms in recent years (and Discord used to be one of the worst offenders) had been ladling on more and more animated features with no option to turn them off, presumably not aware that this was any problem to anyone. It was making using the Internet at all feel increasingly like being beaten up. Thanks for noticing that this is a problem to some of your customers and trying to put it right.
(Now improve on it even more and stop those wretched dots. ;-) )
