Notifications being sent to computer

Why can’t i have notifications sent to my phone directly? I have missed countless messages because I forgot to completely exit out of discord on my desktop (which the only way to do so is through task manager) every single time i have to get up. Not to mention that most of the time that i AM at the computer i have a game or video fullscreened and can’t see the message anyways. I know about the idle thing but I don’t want to rely on this as it doesn’t always work and as I already mentioned it doesn’t work when i have something fullscreened.
