'Something is going on here'

I recently needed to verify my number on both my main and alternate account. I verified on my alt account and then I tried to do the same with my main and it says the number was recently used on a different account. So I logged back into the alt account, removed the phone number and tried again on my main and it didn't work. Now I have lost access to both of my accounts. How long does it take until I can use my phone number to verify on my main.
