(Suggestion) - A new tab for close friends or friend groups.
It would be really nice to have a secondary friends list which is either pinned above the existing one or in its own new tab where you can access specific groups of friends with ease.
This would be beneficial for many people, such as content creators with a long list of friends, very active Discord users who add lots of people and also people who just generally like to be organised and specific.
This has likely been suggested before but I feel like there could be many ways to go about this as a feature.
First off, this should not be locked behind Nitro. This should be accessible to everybody the exact same way that other organisation tools are, such as server folders. Whether this new tab is customisable visually or not, is completely up to Discord.
Secondly, adding a new tab would generally be nice as currently there are only a few things on the friend screen, such as All, Online, Pending and Blocked. Adding a Pinned or Close or even Groups tab would be amazing. Of course this feature would only work similarly to group DMs where you cannot add anybody to a list or group without having them friended beforehand.
Next, perhaps if this feature took the route of groups rather than just one solid list, it could have similar features to server folders. For example, a customisable name and colour. Just to make this more organised, maybe even a little description box, similarly to the notes section on profiles, or channel descriptions in servers.
Another point to add would be that the Active Now section could be themed closer to who is on the list or within the specific groups that are on screen. Regular friends lists could show a handful of varied profiles whereas small friend groups could show only those people.
Lastly, I believe this feature should be added as it generally won't stick out like a sore thumb. If it took the route of just being another list, it would fit the already existing lists. If it takes the group route, it would match the server list quite nicely. Potentially, there could even be some inspiration taken from the Active Now section, visually speaking.
Hopefully this can be considered and I apologise if it has been suggested before.
