Server Owners should have the ability to disable Clipping in channels they do not wish for clipping
As the title says I feel like server owners should be allowed to disable the ability for people to clip in voice chat channels as it could breach privacy since the clipping, clips both game and voice channel. Allowing us to be able to disable the feature in the server as a whole or in specific voice channel would be nice to have as some people might not want it at all, or some is okay with it but would prefer it to be in a designated voice channel.
Right now it is in “beta” I think so not everyone has access to the feature and server owners is not able to disable the feature or manage how the feature to works in their own discord servers as of right now. So it would be nice for us to be able to manage our servers and allow us to have designated spots where it is allowed to do clippings and spots where you are not allowed to do clippings for privacy as some people probably doesn't want to be clipped etc.

I was looking for someone talking about this same thing and very much agree. Just finished testing out this feature a bit to see how I worked, and wasn't able to locate a setting like that, and it definitely feels appropriate or required for a setting to control such permission.
- Option(s) to deactivate user capability to use clipping features for a channel
- Option(s) to deactivate user capability to use clipping features for a server (globally for all channels)
Right now the clipping control appears to be fully in the hands of an individual user.
I'm also concerned that is captures ~"last 2 minutes"; how is it doing that?
- Is discord recording user streams continuously to a cloud and saving that data there, so that if chosen to “clip”, it then pushes the clipped video/audio content to the users local disk?
- Is discord doing the same as above, but storing a temp cache on our local disks that is that continuously overwritten, via same logic to save a clip from a cached file?
Definitely a bit uncomfortable from a privacy or opt-in/out and having relatively little control over it perspective.
