Do something to Watch Together so it doesn't need the 180 minute cap
The Watch Together feature has a 180 minute limit, but with it there's no reason to use Watch Together due to this limitation because it's just a better experience to just screen share a browser window that shows YouTube.
I'm assuming is because of some YouTube restriction due to wanting to show more ads or something, I'm not sure how it's currently implemented in Discord but I assume this could be avoided by having Watch Together be “synced but separate” This means that it would just keep the videos roughly in sync (5 seconds or so) and sync when the host pauses but as individual users.
This should in theory appease Google/YouTube as they can all be shown separate ads, so a 30 man watch party of a YouTube video could be shown 30 ad views rather than the alternative of 1 person streaming a share screen session of a browser window, getting 1 ad view for a large group.
This also benefits Discord in a win/win situation as the video bandwidth would be coming directly from YouTube, lessening bandwidth usage for Discord, it'd only have to occasionally keep the videos in sync which would require lower resources.
This way we can remove the 180 minute limit which is extra annoying for active communities that have watch parties of long 90+ minute YouTube videos(like let's plays or stream vods)
It's just a terrible experience overall and I think that if it could be changed to appease YouTube's rules so it shows ads to all users of the session, and we could get rid of the limit then it would actually be a worthwhile feature to use, but in it's current state, it feels not worth using.
