Account hacked via stolen email, support has been awful

This has been beaten to death on this forum, but the volume of complaints is warranted. This is largely a vent post I'm throwing into the void, but here goes:

My account was stolen via the associated email address, locked out of the email, locked out of the account, and I couldn't do anything to get either back. My account had a phone number associated with it, but Discord won't work with the prior phone number to recover it, they won't work with previous payment information to recover it. They won't even talk to me about it unless I have access to the previous email. Absolutely ridiculous.

Then it gets worse, I try to report the account as stolen so it could be banned and to report the hackers' Discord accounts via a support email with the IDs I was able to get, and the support reply tells me to right click on a message and submit a report that way. Yes, let me contact the foreign hackers that stole my account so that I have a message to right click on so I can report them. Very good advice. 

I can not understand this company's policies. I had to recover a lot of other accounts because of the email address and any that didn't have my SSN were able to verify via phone number or payment history. This service is a joke, I'm never spending money on Nitro – or any Discord sevice –  again.

Thankfully I have good friends who helped me mass report my old account and I'm awaiting a chargeback from a transaction made after the account was stolen, so it won't be used to do anymore damage. No thanks to Discord.

  Charging back was the right move that'll cause the account to be deleted, I'm sorry you couldn't get it back

  It's an old account, but I'm over the loss. It's just a Discord account. I had no problem getting back in touch with the people I care to. 

  It's about the principle of making sure hackers walk away with nothing and making sure the account is banned so my security mistake doesn't end up hurting someone else.

  Same, i recommend you to switch to “Guilded”
  An Platform that is very similar to Discord and Everything that is in Nitro is there completely free.
