revert the new mobile UI. this is terrible

making the new mobile layout was an absolutely insane thing to do.

what was the point in changing the colors at all? the previous layout offered lower contrast, which seemed to be an accessibility feature. interesting considering tnr_at_discord stated on reddit that they “really care about making this experience work for everyone … users that have a11y [accessibility] needs.” i have astigmatism and the new standard dark mode is giving me a headache, i cant imagine what its like for those with more severe visual conditions.  

on top of that, i cant swipe to the side anymore to see if my friends are on or what they're playing. i've accidentally replied to 4 messages since updating. its so unintuitive that i had to ask an exclusively mobile friend how to find activity statuses.

opening the app doesn't take me to the server i was last in, which the discord app previously always did. it takes me to my DMs every time i open the app. the new DM setup feels like a half-assed attempt to recreate imessage in discord, which is insanely stupid in my opinion. i use discord over imessage for a reason. the bar of friends across the top in DMs is clearly broken, as only 10-20% of my friends have their username there. people change profile pics all the time on here so having a string of random images alone to identify my friends isn't helpful. 

either roll back the entire thing or give us the FREE option to revert to the previous layout. whats the point in changing every piece of muscle memory for your users? whoever green lit this is crazy, did any of the user testers actually LIKE this?

also - this is just a personal annoyance - but what on earth are the new icons? why is the mute icon mic a chode now? they look stupid.
