UI update issues

So my major issue with the new UI is that it's more complicated and unintuitive to use. It was easy on servers to swipe between channels, the messages, and side panel, it only allows the first two options. Now I need to click the title of the channel on the message board to get to that. There's no way to configure it to work that way, and means that I have to change grip on my phone to press a button when I used to do this one handed. It's rather annoying…

It would be nice to disable all the little animation things as I find them unnecessary.

On a positive note having sections to see pins, threads, and files is a nice change that makes them more visible is appreciated.

I haven't spent much time on it yet so I'm sure there'll be more feedback to come. I agree with much of the new UI sentiment frustrations. Give me a minimalist option.
