New Mobile UI is inaccessible and not user friendly! Please fix this!
As the title says, the new mobile layout is a horrible change and should AT LEAST have the option to switch to the old one, if you are so insistent to keep it. This isn't just a matter of not liking change, it is genuinely inaccessible, I am struggling to use mobile now.
My biggest example of this is the new themes. If you rolled out an option for a darker theme (midnight?), why would you change the colors of the default one to be darker? It isn't good. I have bad eyesight and it makes it extremely difficult to read. The low contrast between segments is confusing, and it induces a headache. I miss the old color schemes and contrasts because light mode gives me headaches after using it for more than a few minutes (sensitive to brightness) but the new super-dark mode is impossible for me to read. Please keep the middle ground in the default grey colors. It was completely unnecessary to change this.
My other example is the changes to the layout and how to get to different locations on the app. I suffer from chronic pain and motor skill issues. The swiping made it much easier to navigate, but now it takes me several minutes to get between different tabs. The movement of the DM's confuses me greatly too, why would you not want the locations to be consistent between the mobile and desktop app? Why would you try to add more taps to get to different areas? Swiping to reply to messages is excessive, because you could already simply tap on the message and reply that way. There is clutter along the message tab with the inclusion of threads (who uses these?) and of course, your nitro gift button. If you need to push it, just make a plus button to add buttons to. It's almost like you have something so close to this on desktop.
The layout before was SO GOOD. I never had issues with it. It was a rare case of an application translating between mobile and desktop well. What is the point of changing it?
This is ridiculous. Please listen to your users this time. You are preventing people from using your app more than you know.

exactly! I really wish they at least listened us on this one. Even the username update wasn't this horrible.

kristea (I'm not sure if this is how you reply to people on here? About to find out LOL)
I agree with you completely! The username update sucked but was something I could gotten used to, however that is not the case with this update. Did you see the tweet reply they made about "understanding changes take time being used to, but we will make the transition smooth” (paraphrased)? I literally can't transition into using it, this is genuinely preventing me from using their application. It makes me really sad because I loved what they had going on beforehand…

The new mobile version is not as good as the previous one.
Apart from the fact that we still cannot still cannot add a 2nd account (although the community has been asking for this for several years), finding your list of friend requests has become a real ordeal with useless steps.
We used to be able to move from left to right to display the list of users on a server, or click on an icon, but these two methods have simply been replaced in order to "facilitate" the response to a message. This change is quite useless and makes using the application hazardous.
Having replaced the various icons at the top with a single large interactive bar and a page full of tabs is not comfortable either in my opinion.
Not being able to see the bottom menu until the server list is displayed (when in a chat room, for example), makes switching between server and private conversations very annoying.
Not being able to click on the icon at the top of the server list to go to our private message list makes switching from one to the other even more complicated for one-handed use.

@Jojo Wow, with all these points you brought it up it really makes me wonder who they are trying to appeal to?! Ignoring highly requested features in favor for… this absolute mess? I agree with you entirely, thank you for commenting about those.

I agree completely. I got so frustrated that I deleted the app completely. As much as I love being able to chat with my friends on the go, it’s just not worth the headache I and nausea it gives me.
