I'm actually one of the few people that don't have a problem with the new mobile layout, but the only thing I really ask is to consider adding another “theme” in the “appearance” color options that is the same exact color as the old Discord dark mode. This new one is good for people that like black backgrounds, but there are a good chunk of people in the reddit threads complaining about the new darker version being harder to read because of astigmatism. I think you can keep this one as an option still, but again, consider adding the old gray back as an option for people to re-select if the newer dark mode is harder on their eyes. Apparently ⅓ of people have astigmatism, so if there's that many people being affected, it's worth adding this option for.

    Let me become another example of people having some eyesore due to the new “Dark” mode. 10 minutes reading a few messages was already hard, my eyes starting to get tired. And yes, I have astigmatism too. Wondering if they really tested this?

    I also have an astigmatism, and the new dark mode literally gives me a headache within 3-5min. I personally really dislike light mode aesthetically, but now it’s the only free color theme on mobile that doesn’t hurt to read. The old gray dark mode was perfectly comfortable. It would be great if the new dark mode could be reverted to the old dark mode as a true middle ground between the light and midnight themes, or if the old dark mode could be added back in as a 4th free theme option. Given time, I could get used to the other layout changes (although I’m very disappointed by the decision to remove the swipe-left-to-view-member-lists option), but the new themes simply aren’t going to work for me because of the contrast issue.
