Discord mobile UI is awful. Revert changes now!
I actually want to file a complaint about the new UI. It's clunky and much slower than the last UI, and with no prior warning or instructions on how the new UI works, I have felt lost in the app. I just don't understand why Discord would try to fix something that's not broken. I really hope that a revert to the old UI can be done soon. I'm highly disappointed that Discord has put energy into fixing something that essentially isn't broken. It's now much worse off than it was prior.
The color contrast options are some of the worst I've seen and my eyes actually take on some sort of strain after being on the app for a while. The separation of group/individual chats and servers seems excessive and unnecessary. An inability to swipe to see who is online, which has been replaced with a swipe to reply function means that I can't even check if my friends are online in the first instance, defeating the purpose of Discord altogether. I want to see who's online, so I can play with my friends! My friends and I have had to resort to pinging @/everyone instead on mobile.
It's years and years of muscle memory gone. For the first time, I actually ignore Discord's messages on mobile because I want to refrain from touching the UI altogether. The UI change has actually deterred me from using Discord as a whole.

Same here. They really should have kept the option to stay on the old one. WH not let people use either… then everyone can be happy…

Literally, like, I came to the support page to file a complain and I just found these forums. It's such a deeply unintuitive setup, such a stark change from the old UI, and it frankly, sucks. I had to switch to landscape mode earlier just to get to the speaker button while on a call. The call mode was so wack it was half-on screen and half not, until I turned it. That's so poorly designed, and stressful when you don’t know what's going on. It's ugly, it’s slow to switch from dms to server, you can’t swipe to see members anymore, it turns it into a reply to whatever message you swiped on (< redundant and ultimately destructive feature, seeing as all it adds is stress and/or mistakenly replied to messages. They need to roll it back ASAP, literally I don’t know a single person who likes or even supports the new design.
