New Discord Mobile UI Feedback
The new user interface on the mobile application for Discord is atrocious for a myriad of reasons.
In the past, navigating to your direct messages (DMs) was a breeze; there was a button that took you to them above your server list, and any DMs you hadn't yet read were between that button and that server list, allowing you to quickly respond to your friends. Now, if you receive a DM, you have to tap on the “Messages” tab at the bottom and then tap on whoever was messaging you; there's no pop-up for DMs as there was in the past.
Swiping from right to left previously showed the members within a chat. If you were on a server's page, you'd see everyone's roles, whether they were online, and what they were doing. This was incredibly useful information to have at a glance with a swipe. Now, swiping from right to left causes you to start replying to whatever message was swiped on. This is a bad design for a few reasons. Firstly, the previous way of replying was linked with every other action relating to another message, ranging from reacting to it with emojis to deleting it if you had moderation privileges. Separating these things makes zero sense.
Finally, the new UI is laggy, unintuitive, uninspired, and prone to crashing. I don't know why the developers decided to worsen their app yet again, and I certainly don't know why they've forced this horrible, horrible change on their user base without an option to revert to the original, better layout.

I forgot to mention this because there are so many issues present, but the latest update also neutered the search feature on mobile. It is effectively useless now; you're better off searching for old messages on your desktop.

Came here to gripe about exactly all of this, thanks for beating me to it ;)
Please let us revert back to the old UI, or fix this stuff.10 -
Make your own post as well.. the more we bother them about it the better… Nezkrul

A friend told me about the changes, and so I could prevent my system to update it. I will keep the former version, the new one is a catastrophe!
