Unread message handling is broken on Android

Opening a channel with more than 20 unread messages makes it very difficult to find the last-read message. It almost always loads at the bottom (i.e. most recent message) of the channel. Sometimes there will be a “20+ unread messages” (didn't that used to be 25+?) UI element, but not always. In order to go back to my last-read message, I have to manually scroll up until I  ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠see a message I remember! This is clearly awful, and it's not how the Android app used to function maybe a year ago.
