The new mobile app

Hey chat, just posting my woes here that I had emailed Discord about, and will continue emailing them about until they revert back or come to a healthy medium:

 

The app is basically inaccessible with it's clunky UI, the search is practically broken, it takes *more* steps to get to where you need to go, groups are broken, basically anywhere to edit ANYTHING is broken and HAS been broken, everytime I open a channel or DM I get scrolled somewhere randomly in the past and it gets worse the longer I am on the app. If I open an image and rotate my screen, and then rotate it back the image won't let me click on it to zoom in.

For something that isn't game breaking, but still bothers the absolute hell out of me: the call screen. I have my phone on dark mode for a reason, if you're going to have colors like this at least make it match the color scheme you have on the app. This isn't just the only thing, there's so many just little things that bothers me but I'm also a design artist and tend to look too deep into shit.

I don't know who decided this was a good idea, but it's a better idea to revert it because I have not heard a SINGLE good thing about the app since the UI update.

If it is not broken: Don't fix it. The app was perfectly fine before. With every update the firmware gets worse.

 

If I could swap to any other app I would, but Discord knows I won't because this is just convenient. Normal late-stage capitalism stuff though

    I'm not happy about the change to channels and no longer getting push notifications on channels i select to receive “all messages” notifications. I get it for the entire community server but why in the world can i not choose to get notified on channels I CHOOSE 

    Also completely agree with the above post.

    YES!  I am so frustrated that I no longer get red notification badges for new messages.  I have tried emailing Support, that was a very disappointing experience.

    I am so glad that I use the app for social events. I can’t imagine how much more irritating this is for anyone who is using it for their paid employment!
