Vertically stretched font in higher zoom levels

Discord exhibits a weird behavior in its font scaling at higher zoom levels, with the font being vertically stretched and condensed for seemingly no reason.

The curious bit is that it seems every UI element’s scaling depends on its individual size, so while the normal text is stretched, smaller text is displayed how it should be (Such examples being last message previews in the DMs tab, and in-line replies).

Honestly, I can’t find a reason for why this behavior is exhibited. It doesn’t save space, and it makes legibility worse.
