Whisper or Cross-Channel Voice

At this point I think this post is just beating a dead horse - this has been a suggestion for years now!

But, large communities of gamers in MMO's really need a way to distribute individuals into teams/groups/channels and be able to effectively communicate with all of them. Applications like TeamSpeak and Guilded utilize a ‘whisper’ function. This comes with the ability to voice talk to someone directly, a channel directly, a role directly, or broadcast to all voice channels. 

I run a larger gaming group and have a very frustrating time managing communications in large events. So much so that I have a paid TeamSpeak server on the side that I use to toss small group leaders into when its needed. I'd very much like to end my subscription, and I don't want to hodgepodge someone's pet project (SRS) as an alternative.

Discord - for the love of all things nerd, give us a bone - a hint - a confirmation that you've heard us!

  This really is a much needed feature for for Discord,  We've been using Teamspeak like this since around 2010. Most recently though, we've had to start using it again in concert with Discord so we can manage micro and macro comms for large scale pvp combat in games like New World and Throne and Liberty.
