New messages notification for text chat

It can be pretty hard to know when you've received new messages in the text chat overlay, especially when it's fully transparent since it kind of blends in with your game and you don't notice a visual difference when you're immersed and focused on the game unless you specifically look and check the text chat. Some sort of notification would be nice.

My suggestion is to add a toggle which would allow you to see a glowing highlight effect to the messages which fades out after a few seconds, or just a glowing indicator at the top of the text chat tab which can also eventually fade out and/or an unread indicator which can be cleared somehow. Notification sound should at least be an option as well.
