Spellcheck for Windows 7-Please add it

Hi Discord Staff, I get you guys don't plan to add Spell Check to the App for Windows 7, but for the love of all that's holy, can you please make it possible to somehow add it for Windows 7 Discord users? It could be useful for me and other users because I have such difficulty spelling certain words, it would be very much appreciated if spellcheck is added to Discord App Windows 7 in a possible future update, I'd appreciate it and many other Windows 7 users would appreciate it as well.

Spellcheck should be available for all Windows users, including Windows 7, making it exclusive for Windows 8 to 10 is kinda annoying and irritating and in a way shows favoritism for Windows 8 and 10 users and and makes us Windows 7 users left out and excluded to having spellcheck for their discord app. Just wanted to point that out, also this feature can work in the Discord App for Windows 7, you guys just need to find out how it can work, I know you guys can do it if you put your minds to it. You guys are smart, not stupid, so please find out the best way it can be added for Windows 7 Discord App Users or come up with a compromise that will make Windows 7 Discord users happy and yourselves happy.

Do this for people with spelling difficulties and problems with spelling and have problems with spelling words correctly, spellcheck could help those people in a great way. I hope this feedback is helpful, thank you.

    Discord didnt add spellcheck on win7 for technical reason which is: Windows 7 dont have spellchecking API discord use that was introduced in windows 8

    Well they can make a built in spellcheck for the app, which I admit would take a lot of hard work to do, and even if it was possible, would have to be tested. Not sure how it will work though, but hope one of these days it might be possible to be added.

    Also here's hoping I get a new computer with Win10 installed on it.

    I desperately need spellcheck so i hope they add it to discord. Also KS windows 7 DOES have spellcheck i'm using it right now to type this so stop spreading lies.

    Windows 7 **Does not have OS level spellcheck API** most browsers/text editors have their own build in spellcheck feature that don't use OS api

    Discord uses **Operating System Spellcheck API** which does no exist below windows 8

    as i said, Spellcheck API which discord use exclusively was introduced in Windows 8

    well if so many things don't use api or whatever then why dosnt discord just switch to whatever everyone else is using?

    pure speculation: Performance

    personally i wouldn't be suprised in Windows api usage allows to get better app performance (less code to load since dev only need to call ISpellChecker functions instead of whole spellchek as independent feature)

    this is only speculation, they might have other reasons

    maybe if we could figure out what those reason are we could expedite the implementation of spellcheck to discord?

    Discord used to have spell check in Windows 7. I still don't know why it was removed. I even contacted Discord staff and they claim they never removed it. It must be some kind of mistake.

    So i recently got telegram and started using it (I'm still on windows 7 btw) and it has a perfectly functioning spellcheck. So whatever excuse discord had for not having win 7 spellcheck just got shot to hell.

    This is the closest to a helpful thread that I've found. I USED to have spell-check on discord on this computer, and I have no idea what changed. It's been windows 7 the whole time and the only info I can find anywhere just flat out says it's not supported, which is really confusing given that I used it in the past.

    Yeah, same. I've previously used Discord spellcheck on Windows 7, so telling me it's not supported isn't an answer I am satisfied with.

    Discord now has spellcheck for windows 7.
